Tuscany, which lies on the Tyrrhenian Sea, is one of the most famous wine-growing regions of Italy, being home to wine classifications like Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and the “Super Toscans”. A big part of the vines cultivated are on the hillside, on heights between 100 and 500 metres above the sea level and prosper with the Mediterranean climate. The leading grape variety Sangiovese is the most important variety for Chianti and used exclusively in Brunello di Montalcino wines.
